Plant rarities from the Danube valley
In our plant collection, which has been in existence since 2011, you will find floristic rarities from the Danube valley in Passau. From the columbine meadow rue to the meadow sage – here you can marvel at plants that are or were typical for the Passau Danube Valley. Even some extremely rare representatives of the plant world are exhibited in our plant troughs.
The garden was created in 2011 together with students of the grammar school Untergriesbach. The planting was sponsored by the European Union (troughs) and the Bavarian Nature Conservation Fund (signage). The expansion in 2017 was also co-financed by the European Union. The show garden is managed by the area supervisor for the Donauleiten nature reserve.
