As a team of researchers, we go on a “journey through time into the past” and explore moats and entrenchments in search of special plants. In the time of the knights, edible wild plants were collected, and the castle inhabitants cultivated food plants, aromatic and medicinal herbs in their own castle gardens. Many of the plants and herbs still exist today. Mystical stories are told about one or the other – we discover their special characteristics and explore their use.
